How to choose lingerie according to your body type

It is challenging to look for lingerie as per your body type. Knowing what works for your body type makes shopping easier, and will make you feel self-assured in your new lingerie. Use the following tips that will be suitable for your body type:

Pear-shaped

If you are pear shaped it means that you are smaller upper body build. These types of bodies look good in the babydoll that has padding or chemise. Baby dolls are the best for this body type because they are tight at the top and loose at the bottom.

Inverted Pear/Triangle Shape

This is the opposite of the pear-shaped body. This means you have a bigger upper body built. Your shoulders are a bit broader, while your hips are smaller. Chemises work well for this body shape because they tighten in around the hips, showing off that smaller bottom. Also, teddies work well because they already produce a v-shape that accentuates the natural one made by the body.

Hourglass Shape

This body type is generally proportioned equally on both top and bottom. This is a very feminine shape that goes well with a corset or bustier. Both cinch in the waist to highlight that hourglass-figure even more.

Belly

Shapewear is the best option to hide the loose belly. The shapewear makes you skinny by sewing or knitting together elastic or rigid fabrics that are cut into such a pattern that when worn, the finished garment nips and tucks the body

Small Breasts

A push-up bra is a great option to make small breast looks more full. This bra lifts and pushes breasts together to optimize cleavage line.  Wear it under low cut tops or dresses.

Large Breasts

For women with larger breasts, go for a full-cup bra for the best structure and most flattering silhouette. Remember, four-boob is a symptom of ill-fitting underwear and should be avoided at all costs.

Short Legs

If you’re a shorter person, gowns with slits or a shorter length provide the illusion of longer legs. Keep in mind short is never bad when you’re dealing with lingerie. You want your intimates to be proportional to your size, so the shorter the person, the shorter the lingerie needs to be in order to show off what you want.

Long Legs

White is a good colour for taller people. Also, make sure when you’re shopping for lingerie not to buy something that looks like it’s supposed to be long. If you buy a gown that’s supposed to hit the ground, and it’s above your ankles, it won’t look right. Don’t be scared to show off those legs because they’re one of your best features!
